RONCO's Procurement Division Update
WASHINGTON, July 2001 - RONCO's Procurement Division is actively working
on 22 State Department Task Orders All Over the World.
The International Procurement and Logistics Division of RONCO Consulting
Corporation has procured over $15 million in commodities in the past twenty-three
months. The Procurement Division is working all over the world on twenty
two active task orders, which are part of the Integrated Mine Action Support
project (IMAS) , funded by the State Department. RONCO is procuring a
wide variety of criital commodities such as ambulances, demining equipment,
troop carriers, water trucks, mine detectors, protective clothing and
radio equipment. RONCO's involvement in providing procurement support
spans many countries, including Nicaragua, Bosnia, Mauritania, Mozambique,
Rwanda, Ecuador, Peru, Laos, Thailand, Lebanon, Kosovo, Chad, Estonia,
Vietnam, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Djibouti. Procurement supports the demining
activies in these countries. Another important tool in fighting land mines
is RONCO's assistance in creating comic books for children, warning about
the dangers of land mines. The comic books have been translated into many
languages, including Serbo-Croatian and Spanish.
